Dressed up like a funeral, the girl felt scratched and naked.
With a hard wind now blowing, her youth was taken.
She stood there in front of the church, she stood there in her swollen dress.
"Confess your sins" they cried, while they stoned her with their eyes.
She stood there naked, her soul exposed. Naked under the microscope.
Amidst a hypocritical mass, in a spell that had been cast.
In that waking hour she felt so confused. All she wanted to do was go lick her wounds.
Children having children. You know, now she was no virgin.
It was taken away.
She stood there naked, her soul exposed. Naked under her microscope.
Amidst the voices of her head, now clothing an unborn child with flesh.
Images of pagans, and lusts of Christians,
man's pretentious inquisitions.
Twisted attitudes of self-projection,
what is blind has no reflection.
She stood there naked, her soul exposed. Naked under the microscope.
Amidst a hypocritical mass, in a spell that had been cast.
She stood there naked, her soul exposed. Naked under her microscope.
Amidst the voices of her head, now clothing an unborn child with flesh.
